Setting Up a Breakfast Club That Works All Day

The government’s free national school breakfast club programme (NSBP) is continuing for 2026. As per the government’s rules, breakfast clubs must run for at least 30 minutes before the start of the day. The rooms they happen in don’t just disappear. Whatever happens at 7:45am needs to be cleared & reorganised before 9am. Teachers need light, portable & compact products in order to make the fast turnaround.

Start With Purpose & Practicalities

The government's own guidance is clear on the goal: ensuring children start the day on time and are fed, setting them up to listen and concentrate throughout the school day. GOV.UK That means the space should feel calm, welcoming, and unhurried — not like a canteen being hastily assembled before registration.

All schools new to the programme will receive a £1,000 start-up grant to purchase the equipment and materials they need to run their club.
